A bit about me

I've been in the industry for over 20 years, starting as a studio assistant making coffees at Woodstock Studios in St Kilda, where I worked alongside engineers on records for artists including John Butler Trio and JET. From Woodstock, I moved to Sing Sing Recording Studios, spending almost a decade working my way from assistant to in-house engineer — recording artists including Kanye West, Kimbra, and The Cat Empire, among other Grammy and ARIA-nominated and winning records.

While enjoying studio life, I discovered live sound and fell in love with it fast. I cut my teeth at the Espy Hotel in St Kilda, eventually becoming its production manager and working with artists including Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, De La Soul, People Under the Stairs, and Roc Raida. From there I became an in-house engineer, and later production manager, at the Prince Bandroom, stepping up to larger-format shows with tours including James Blake, Booka Shade, Modest Mouse, and Gurrumul.

It wasn't long before I was touring nationally with major triple j acts on the festival circuit — Falls, Blues Fest, Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass — and a few international trips in, I was completely hooked on touring.

Since then, I've built an international client base spanning multiple continents, working as front-of-house engineer for artists including Portugal. The Man, M.I.A., Jon Bellion, All Saints, Chet Faker, and Gotye. For the past three years, I've been the sole front-of-house engineer for Royel Otis across every live performance worldwide — headline tours, festival sets, and livestreams — scaling with the band from 300-capacity clubs to 8,000-capacity amphitheaters and major festival stages including Coachella and Glastonbury. Recent work also includes KATSEYE's first-ever Australian shows, AMBLE's 2025 Australian tour, Ice Cube's 2023 Australian arena tour, and Jessie Murph's Australian debut ahead of her international breakout.

I'm a member of industry leading BETA testing and development teams with both Waves and Midas and AVID, contributing to and testing products relied on by engineers worldwide, and I'm supported by manufacturers including Rupert Neve Designs, Retro Gates, SE Electronics, JH Audio, Avid, MIDAS and Waves.
